Meet Michael
Michael Patrick Walker is an award-winning composer/lyricist, writer and musician who The New York Times hailed as "a skilled songwriter" and The Huffington Post dubbed one of today's "must-know songwriters”. He has been honored with an Outer Critics’ Circle Award and multiple Drama Desk nominations for his theatrical writing and his songs have been performed and recorded by a diverse group of artists including Chita Rivera, Kelli O’Hara, Andy Karl, Telly Leung and many more. As a musician he has performed extensively both on and off Broadway as well as at Carnegie Hall, on PBS’ Great Performances and around the world.

What’s New, Buenos Aires?
Continuing his ongoing affiliation with both renowned musical supervisor Kristen Blodgette and award-winning composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael served as the associate musical supervisor for a brand new production of Evita! Based on the 2019 City Center version, this fully-realized production is directed by Sammi Cannold and choreographed by Emily Maltby and Valeria Solomonoff.
Starring Shereen Pimentel (Evita), Caesar Samayoa (Perón) and Omar Lopez-Cepero (Che), the show played Boston’s prestigious American Repertory Theatre May 17 through July 30 and Washington DC’s Shakespeare Theatre Company from September 5 through October 15th.
