Created by John Tartaglia and featuring original music and lyrics by notable theatre composers including Michael Patrick Walker, Stephen Schwartz, Bobby Lopez, Larry O’Keefe and David Kirshenbaum, the Emmy-nominated “Johnny and the Sprites” is a Disney Channel television show aimed at preschoolers. The show’s two seasons tell the story of Johnny who moves to a house in the woods, only to discover magical Sprites living nearby. Guest stars included Chita Rivera, Sutton Foster, Christopher Sieber and Paul Vogt. In addition to composing for “Sprites” since its inception, Michael served as the musical director and supervisor, orchestrator and arranger for Season 2. |
